Firmoo-La-La: A review of my new glasses!

I've worn glasses since I was seven years old. At this point, I think I can say I know what I'm doing. Believe me when I say that my new glasses from Firmoo are magnificent!
I've been absolutely dying for a pair of round, black, plastic glasses to wear artistically near some coffee and maybe a typewriter. So when Firmoo offered me a pair to review, I was utterly stoked! I've been wearing them nonstop since that day--and can I just say that they came really fast? My parents always ordered my glasses directly from the eye doctor when I was a kid, and I feel like they always took over two weeks to arrive. My Firmoo glasses shipped from China (you know, according to the package) and I got them only eight days later. I hope that's typical because I'm very impatient and barely had any time to get antsy! A+!
The extras they sent along are super. Take, for instance, this key ring screwdriver!
Ordering glasses online can be a little impersonal, and of course nothing can top an in-store adjustment. This is the next best thing. And since the website was pretty clear about the dimensions of the frames, I didn't have to worry anyway! They fit just as I'd hoped they would.
I couldn't be more in love with the case! It matches a purse I have. I keep the very, very nice cleaning cloth inside. It's shockingly effective.
I've been wearing them nonstop since I got them. Obviously I didn't actually pay for these, but I so would have. The frames and basic lenses together only would have come to about $40! They're still on sale, so click here if you want them! That's not a bargain I can argue with. I'm used to well-fitting glasses being much, much more than that. Most of Firmoo's frames are in the $35-$50 range, though there's a few pairs right now under $20. Warby Parker will run ya $100+, mind you. Get that crusty hipster look at less than half the price. (I mean that lovingly.)
So, the big question: Would I get Firmoo glasses again?? The big answer: Yes!!! I'm in love. They look great, were no hassle at all to buy, and are really much nicer quality than I expected. Two enthusiastic thumbs up! I might go ahead and get another pair soon. I'm that sort of person.

Firmoo sent me these rad specs for free, but the opinions expressed here are 100% my own. Those of us with bad eyesight know the struggle. If you're looking for new glasses on a budget, check out Firmoo.

I wanna know for sure

I emerged, blinking, into the sunlight and discovered that it was winter no more.
The natural progression was something as tacky and bright as the occasion requires. I love my new cheetah print dress from Asos. I bought it in a 14 and it manages to be looser than the product photo suggested, yet my chest adjusts the waistband to several inches higher than the designer intended. That's sorta weird, but I love it anyway.
American Apparel grosses me out. Their advertising is among the most shamefully misogynist I have ever seen. But these are leather are were marked down to like...10 dollars. I can't stop wearing them. Capitalism is hard.
Do ya like my new specs? They are courtesy of Firmoo and I hope to post my full review later today or tomorrow morning. Let me say this much: I LOVE THEM.

She Leans Great

I dyed my hair a weird burgundy color, but it looks almost black here. I guess that's what happens when I use basic flash in the middle of the night.
I keep trying to pin my hair back just a little, but it's still so short! I just look like a suburban mom.

I may have turned my pajamas into a cool outfit.
Really I just wanted to try out my new black lipstick from Impulse Cosmetics. Love it!! The application is a little annoying, but I imagine that's why they're $6.99. I was just careful with liner. It helped.

Fine and Dandy

I got these shoes on eBay. They arrived today and I just had to wear them. Telling myself that they needed to be broken in helps, but really I just like marking my territory. Um, with my feet.
With shipping, they were about $15. That was a little much for my stingy heart, but I was tired of looking and really wanted such a pair. Besides, I looked up the brand. New Cole Haan shoes go for quite a lot, so $15 for a gently used pair isn't half bad.
I took these pictures just outside the laundry room. There were people in there doing laundry, of all things. Usually strangers watching me take pictures of myself is a little mortifying, but I decided that if they weren't going to be embarrassed about blasting their very stupid music, I wasn't going to be embarrassed by my endless barrage of selfies.

I'll love you in springtime

I fundamentally refused to put February on this morning. Instead I revisited some old friends. Remember when I used to wear these ridiculously tall boots all the time? I had such high hopes.
Remember when I used to carry this bag all the time? It shouts its own praises. And this belt (which is on its way to the grave)--and this blouse--and even this lipstick!
Clothes are memories.
I can sort of put my hair in a bun now! I've been growing my hair out for...more than a year? Most exciting!

These earrings were a gift from my darling friend Elizabeth. They're almost as cute as her.

Thrill

This is the kind of semesterwinter—lifetime, perhaps that begs me to just drift. But wandering around in a massive, ugly sweatshirt and leggings doesn't make me feel like the adult I need to be, so I'm gonna try and use this year's "Fatshion February" to dress like the adult I wish I was.
Here I'm pretending to  be an adult who is sleek and plays the bongos.
Literally no one wishes the lighting in my room was better than I. These were taken in primarily natural light. In the middle of the day. Think about that.
The sleek woman who plays the bongos probably never wears jackets, being too thinly tied to this earth to notice the elements. I notice the elements lots, though, and it's February. I threw on my trusty denim in lieu of a sweater. (I just don't think she'd wear any of my sweaters.)
